The Pros
Size: This a small machine as you would expect from its design. It is great for those with only limited space available for exercising, and is able to be easily stored on a shelf, in a wardrobe or under the bed. The size also makes it small enough to fit in to a bag and it can be taken to work on the bus or train.
Portable: This is a major benefit of the machine. It is easy to take from place to place. It’s weight of only 24 lbs and small size makes it easy to fit into a backpack and be carried where ever you want to go. It can also be used at home or work without being too obvious or annoying to other workers or family members.
Cost: Coming in at less than $100 it is a very affordable machine for those looking to get fit and not wanting to spend a fortune on an exercise machine. However, even though it has a low price tag it is not the lowest priced foot pedal only exercise machine that you can buy. But, it is one of the best designed and most reliable ones available. You may even be able to find small exercise bikes, steppers or treadmills at a lower price, however you probably won’t get the handy size, reliability and build quality that you find in this mini-elliptical trainer from Stamina.
Quiet: This is a very quiet machine, which is a great benefit as many other foot pedal only machines have been found to be noisy. This quietness is useful when using at home, especially id you want to watch TV at the same time. However, a bigger benefit is that this makes it a machine that can be used at work. If you buy a machine like this to use at work and it is too noisy it will be too much of a distraction for your co-workers you are not going to be able to use it. Many people have found this machine to just about as quiet as it is possible and this makes it ideal for use at work.
The Cons
Stable: Although this may be a great machine for those without the space or for those not wanting to spend the money for a full size elliptical trainer it does have some negatives that need to be considered. Some users have found that it can rock from side to side because it is slightly out of balance. This can cause you to lose your rhythm and break up your exercise so you end up slowing down and having to regain your pace. It could also lead to an injury in some cases.
Jerkiness: The limited stride and small size can result in the machine at times giving you a jerky and bumpy experience. The pedals can stick sometimes resulting in this jolting and jerking action which can affect balance and stability. It is an affordable machine, however it does not provide the functionality and benefits you can find in a light full elliptical machine.
Muscle Groups Targeted: This is the biggest problem with a mini-elliptical trainer. It only targets a few muscles. With a limited stride length you only need to move your legs a small amount. Obviously, you are not going to get fully fit in a week with a pedal only elliptical trainer such as this. It is still not evident how much benefit you do get from these types of machines and at close to $100 you do want to be sure you are getting something from it.

The Stamina 55-1610 InMotion E1000 Elliptical Trainer is certainly a useful device that you can take with you on the road or to work and it can be easily stored away. If you don’t have the option of buying an elliptical machine then this pedal only trainer is one of the best of choices left open to you.
It is not a miracle cure to your fitness and won’t work all of your body without you realizing. It can help your fitness while at work and also at home while doing other things at the same time. This machine is a great choice if you don’t have any other options. But, if you do have the space there are a number of elliptical trainers that don’t cost that much more that will give you better results than using a pedal only machine.
