All of the reviewers agree that although the instruction manual leaves something to be desired this bike is pretty easy to assemble and the overall quality is superb. The bike’s aluminum frame makes it both very sturdy but also very lightweight. People are describing this bike as smooth and easy to ride. There are very few negative comments online for the Diamondback Octane. One person said that shifting gears is somewhat stiff and is a bit difficult for her seven-year-old daughter but they are still very pleased with this bike. Another reviewer felt that it would have been nice if this bike came with a kickstand but the lack of the kickstand is by no means a dealbreaker because they are very inexpensive and very easy to install.
