This blender is not only a very efficient appliance but it’s a really different one too. Instead of the usual design with buttons it has a square shaped base with knobs. The blender is more like a work of art than a kitchen appliance and looks really good on counter-tops. The L’Equip 306500 is not short of power either. It has a 900-watt motor offering users a variable speed from 500 to 20,000 rpms something that’s hard to beat among other blenders. One great feature about the blender is it has a lid opening making it really easy to add ingredients to the container as you go along. The pitcher is a good size too, perfect for family use or entertaining. The blender is very easy to keep clean and has removable blades. This appliance does all it claims to do, blending, pureeing, mixing and grinding all sorts of ingredients.

Why Is the L’Equip Blender so Good?
The blender has a really chic retro design that makes it stand out from the crowd. The square base and digital control panel is very stylish – it makes a definite statement on any kitchen counter-top. Another innovative part of the design are the knob controls which means no cleaning sticky buttons. This is one blender you won’t want to hide away in a kitchen cupboard.
The opening in the lid is great. It lets you add ingredients as you need to whilst you are blending them without having to remove the lid and then reseal it. This can often prove to be a messy operation so the lid opening is very handy. The lid on the appliance is nicely tight fitting, it can be a bit hard to undo when you need to, but this is a good feature. One thing to remember is lids on any appliance need to be hand washed to prevent them becoming misshaped during a dishwasher drying cycle.
The blenders’ speed is superb, so if you need a high speed appliance, this is the one for you. Most people who use the machine are too scared to use it at it’s maximum speed, but the option is there should you need it. The appliance is incredibly easy to use and it’s power means it can get through the toughest ingredients with ease. It can mix, blend and grind everything to a wonderful consistency in no time at all.
The blender takes care of itself which means there’s very little maintenance needed to keep it looking pristine and working properly. The L’Equip is easy to keep clean as the blades are removable, they easily come away from the base and there is a specific tool that comes with the blender to remove the blades, not that you need it. The option however, is there. Just by soaking the pitcher in soapy water is enough to keep it clean after use.
What Are the Downsides of the L’Equip Blender?
Although the pitcher is made out of a heavy duty plastic, it does not sit well with the high-end image of the appliance. However, it does make the blender easy to carry and handle. The downside is the plastic container will show signs of wear and can break unlike stainless or glass pitchers. Plastic does absorb odors, which can be a problem. Also the pitcher is rounded in design which some people think does not suit the base’s square shaped design. It really is a matter of preference when it comes to design though.
The appliance is a little bulky looking but having said this, it does look good on a counter-top which means you probably won’t want to store it away anyway. If space is limited on your counter-top, then you might have to rethink which blender is best for you. Another great thing about this appliance is it is so sturdy and the square base prevents it from vibrating all over the place, a common problem with other blenders.
This is not the quietest of blenders, in fact it’s quite noisy. This is definitely one of the biggest downsides of the appliance. You would not want to use the blender at night or early in the morning as it will wake up the entire household and this includes your neighbors. It is possible to reduce the noise by using the blender at lower rpms, but if you don’t then it would be a good idea to buy a pair of earplugs when you blend up any concoctions.
Is the L’Equip Blender Value for Money?
The L’Equip 7-Cup Blender is a great value for money product that’s a great addition to any modern kitchen. It looks good, has a very powerful motor and gives excellent results. If you are thinking about buying one, then make sure you are purchasing the newest model with updated stainless steel blades. A big plus is that the appliance is backed up with a 5 year warranty.
