While Elder Sign: Omens brilliantly conveys the spirit of Elder Sign’s dice game, several important differences have been implemented to optimize the mobile gaming experience:

-A limited number of Ancient Ones are available which streamline the gaming experience while providing an adjustable level of difficulty. Face Yig normally, Azathoth or Tsathoggua hard, or Cthulhu or Ithaqua very hard (in-app purchase required to take on Cthulhu and Ithaqua).
-Some subtle changes increase the risk of protecting humanity. For example, random negative effects generated every midnight are more difficult, and the frequency of “no effect” results has decreased. Monsters have also been changed to make it more difficult.
-Finally, there are no Allied cards in Elder Sign: Omens, which further simplifies gameplay while increasing the overall challenge.
