Despite being compact and lightweight, the Bissell Spotbot Pet Stain Cleaner is very good at removing stains. In automatic mode, the system automatically decides how much cleaning solution will be used for the cleaning. Of course, the Bissell Spotbot Pet also has a manual cleaning mode. In both cases, the result is very good. Unfortunately, you still need to clean the unit afterwards but that is relatively easy to do.

The Bissell Spotbot is very easy to use. Especially in the automatic mode, you just place it above the stain and press a button. You can choose between removing a surface stain (~3 minutes) or set-in stain (~6 minutes), the latter is used for tougher stains. Also in manual mode, it is easy to use. The Bissell stain cleaner is not quiet but the noise level is reasonable, similar to a vacuum cleaner.

The Bissell Spotbot Pet Stain Cleaner has two water tanks, one for clean water and for the dirty water. But both of them are relatively small, if you are going to remove several stains or you want to clean the whole carpet, you may have to re-fill and empty the tanks several times. Typically, a full tank removes two or three stains. One potential drawback with spot cleaning to be aware of is that the cleaned spot may be cleaner than the rest of the carpet.
