If you are looking for the best shaver available, you probably won’t be surprised to hear that Philips Norelco recently received an award for “Best Electric Shaver & Groomer” by Men’s Health Grooming Awards…however; you might be surprised when you hear it was for the Click & Style Shave Toolkit!

Why is this surprising you might ask…well, for one, the price is ridiculously low. At under $70 the awarded Best Electric Shaver packs a punch of versatility and grooming features hard pressed to find on shavers twice the price. However, if price is any indicator of quality, I am personally curious and of course had to do some more investigating…here’s what I’ve found out about the Philips Norelco Click & Style Shave Toolkit.

Immediately, I was fascinated with the fact that you can change out heads! I’ve been wondering when this concept was going to be made not only readily available but also durable as well. That is in fact my main concern about the Click & Style; the ability to withstand day in and day out changing of heads for various shaving and grooming tasks.

I really like that Philips Norelco was able to make this an all around grooming tool rather than a standalone electric shaver. The heads include the standard rotary head for facial shaving. There is a foil head perfect for body hair, and finally a grooming head for beard trimming.

As if the three interchangeable heads weren’t exciting enough…this thing is also water proof and maintenance free! You can shave while in the shower and simply rinse the head for frustration free cleaning.

Battery life for the Click & Style is approximately 40 minutes of shave time or roughly a week and a half. There is a battery level indicator that lets you know when the battery is low, full, or charging.

While the Click & Style doesn’t come with all the bells and whistles of some of the more expensive shavers, it is definitely a functional machine and I have yet to hear complaints regarding durability!

Though I wouldn’t personally consider this the Best Electric Shaver, it will definitely be a top pick. It most assuredly gets two thumbs up and can be considered the best all around grooming tool.

The Click & Style received an average rating of 3.9 out of 5 stars based on numerous customer reviews. I was a little concerned about the low star rating so of course I looked into it a little further.

So basically, a common complaint and reason for the low rating is a lot of guys reported it wasn’t the closest of shaves and they had to go  over the same area more than once to get a close shave.

On the flip side of that, here are some comments made from actual customers:

“Sometimes, it takes a couple of shaves to get it very close but it does a good job and doesn’t irritate his skin.” and “I could have used the body groom attachment but decided to try the beard one and it works  great even on my gorilla hair.”
