Crafty Portable Vaporizer Review

Crafty Portable Vaporizer Review

The Crafty is currently our #1 portable vaporizer. It is a little bigger than the Pax vaporizer, however it still is able to fit into your pocket. I really like this vaporizer due to being able to vape with it on the go, its outstanding vapor quality, and how there is very little to no draw resistance.

The Crafty is the sibling of the Mighty and comes from the same company as the people who made the Volcano, Storz & Bickel. Overall, it’s an outstanding vaporizer and has quickly become my “go to” when I am in need of something portable that I can fit into my pocket.

Why I like the Crafty

Up until I purchased the Crafty, I had been using the Pax pretty much every single day while I am on the go. Whether it be to work, school, running errands, or hanging with friends, I always brought the Pax with me and I still do from time to time because it’s smaller than the Crafty…But now, I am all over the Crafty for 2 main reasons. 1) Its vapor quality and 2) not much draw resistance.

The vapor quality is similar to that of the Storz and Bickel products, the Volcano and the Plenty vapes. Which is extremely impressive for a device so small.

One of my biggest annoyances with the Pax vape is that you are not able draw like a champ from it..meaning there is some draw resistance. With the Crafty there is very little. You are able to get a lot of vapor if you so please.

Heat up Time

It takes about 90 seconds to heat up, which isn’t the best. But for a vape that replicates the Volcano, it is pretty darn good!

Heat Settings

There are two settings that the vape comes with out of the box. It’s 356F and 383F. If you want the first setting, you will just push the power button once. If you want the higher temperature, you will push the power button twice.

Smartphone App is Dope

They made an app that does a bunch of stuff with your vaporizer. The app is connected through bluetooth and you are able to do a couple of things with it.

  • You can change the default temperatures to whatever you’d like
    • If you’re not a fan of the temperatures you’re given you’ll be able to alter them in the app.
  • You can change the LED lights on the Crafty

Battery Life

It’s about 45 minutes worth of battery life. It will take around 2 hours to charge it up to full battery. If there is any downside to this vape, this is probably it.

The good news is, is that if you are low on battery, you can plug it in and use it. This is something most vaporizers don’t have it.

Some more good news is that it only takes a micro-usb charger so you really can charge it wherever you please nowadays.

If you’re not sure what your battery is it, every time you power on the Crafty it will tell you how much batteyr is left by the blue light blinking at a different speed.

Comparison to other Portable Vaporizers

The performance in terms of vapor quality blows all the other portables out of the park (aside from the Crafty). Really, you’re going to want to ask yourself two things. Will I be using this on the go? Do I have enough room in my pockets for this? If yes is the answer to both, you will want to check out the Crafty.

If you want a little bit cheaper of an option, you should check out the Pax. I know they are still pretty expensive, but the Pax is a little cheaper and overall a great vape for throwing into your pocket and not even noticing it. It’s super small…like the length of your hand small.

The last vape I will recommend for people on a very tight budget, is the Arizer solo. The vapor quality isn’t as good and you can’t fit it into your pocket, but it’s a cheaper portable vape that many people like over the Magic Flight Launch Box. At this point in time, I really don’t recommend MFLB because too many people have been disappointed with it.

Comparison to the Mighty

There are some distinct differences between the two devices that are some of my most asked questions.

  • The Mighty is bigger. It cannot fit in your pocket very well – it’s too bulky. However, it is still considered a portable because you can transport it rather easily unlike the desktop vaporizers.
  • The Mighty has a longer battery life by 45 minutes.
  • You can change the temperature and see the heat settings from a digital panel on the device rather than a smartphone app.

Where to Buy It

There is one place that I buy all my vapes and that’s from VapeWorld. They are an authorized vaporizer site that gives you free overnight shipping when you buy a vape. This is one the only vaporizer stores that does this. They also almost always have a coupon available on their website to get the vape at a better deal.
