Remington Pole Saw RM1025P 10-Inch 8 Amp Electric pole chainsaw review

With its 15ft. reach the Remington RM1025P is a great solution to get rid of branches that are normally out of reach. The RM1025P has an 8 Amp motor that drives a saw with a 10in. low-kickback bar and chain. The electric pole chainsaw can also be used as a normal pole-less chainsaw, without the use of tools. The Remington pole saw is corded, making it less portable than for example the B&D NPP2018, but it also eliminates the trouble of having a full battery at all time or having fuel around. It is ready to use right away, just plug it in and begin. No worries of running out of fuel or power.

As with most other electric pole chainsaws we found Amazon.com to have the best price on this one plus you can get free shipping which is always nice.

Using a chainsaw is not without danger. When using a pole chain saw you often find yourself standing under the branch that you are cutting, this is something the machine can’t protect you from so we always advise to wear a helmet and other protective gear. Check out our e-book for more information, it teaches you how to safely handle a pole saw, how to do maintenance on your saw to save on repair costs and techniques to actually use the pole saw. see the (pole) chainsaw 101 page.

This Remington pole saw has all the safety features you can expect from a mid-range chainsaw. Of course it doesn’t have all the extras like an expensive gas powered chainsaw has, but for the price that the Remington RM1015P is available you get more than your money’s worth.

Remington Pole saw RM1025P 10-Inch 8 Amp Electric pole chain saw review

The RM1025P is a popular product so it was not difficult to find a plethora of reviews. All of them positive. No angry reviews of disappointed buyers. But even though everybody was positive, some people did add some negative points to their positive reviews.

A problem that was mentioned a couple of times for the RM1015p model was that the chainsaw leaks oil when stored. This is a common problem with chainsaws and to prevent a sticky mess you can just simply wrap a plastic bag around the chainsaw when you store it. But this model, the RM1025P, does not have this problem or at least a lot less. Remington heard the complaints and made sure this model would not have the same problem.

And some people say it is a bit too heavy and slightly difficult to handle. Of course an electric pole chain saw is not as light as a manual pole saw, and when used fully extended it does require some upper body strength. But there were quite a few reviews from people who found the Remington pole saw very easy to handle of whom several women and an 81-year old man.
These were the only two real complaints people had about the Remington pole saw, which is very positive.

Almost every reviewer positively commented on the fact that you can use the RM1025P as a normal electric chainsaw as well. You can easily detach the chainsaw from the pole without any tools.

The Remington RM1025P is a great electric pole chain saw and the fact that you can use it as a normal pole-less chain saw as well makes this chainsaw a winner, more than worth it’s money. Therefore we give the Remington Pole Saw RM1025P a strong recommendation.
